Carrera Challenge Tour - US Championship 2008

U.S. Carrera Champion Crowned!
On Saturday, February 16th, 2008, The Carrera U.S. Championship was held at the ESPN Zone in New York. David Hoffman avenged his 2006 2nd place finish, taking the trophy with an impressive overall time of 77.015 seconds.

The competition was extremely tough this year.  Over 115 people entered the tournament in hopes of putting up one of the four fastest times and qualifying for the final race.  At the end of the 6 hour event, the four finalists were David Ashcroft and David Hoffman both of Pennsylvania; Baden Copeland, the defending 2006 U.S. Champion, from New Jersey and Bryan Ownbey of Georgia.

David Hoffman, 55, of Huntingdon Valley, PA will represent the U.S. at the Carrera World Championship Finals in April.  Not only did Hoffman take home a trophy and an Exclusiv track for his accomplishment, he and a guest will receive an all-expense-paid trip to the Carrera World Championship in Germany.

Ashcroft, Copeland and Ownbey also received trophies and a Carrera Digital 132, Carrera Evolution and Carrera Go!! tracks, respectively.

The Carrera World Championship 2008 will be held May 1st in Friedrichshafen, a small city outside of Stuttgart in the south of Germany/Europe.
